Details
The Goulburn Soldiers Club is situated in a regional location where its connection to the community plays an important role. With this in mind inspiration is taken from the local history, a local brewery and the nearby railway. Historical sandstone, brick buildings along with the use of local materials such as timbers, bricks and steel are used to form a material palette that provides a real sense of connection to the environment.
The proposal involves planning a large open space into a dining offering which encompasses a focal kitchen/servery ,a gelato bar, lounge, family and general dining areas, a drinks bar as well as a flexible space which can be divided into three function areas. A large children’s play area and enhanced open foyer area are also included.
